Performance


Isaac Martin Lerner is a New York–based freelance artist recognized for his intricate, explosive contemporary floorwork and commanding stage presence. His artistic focus lies at the intersection of dance-theater, contemporary floorwork, and opera. He made his professional debut in 2016 as a principal artist with Des Moines Metro Opera and has since performed nationally and internationally with acclaimed companies including Kizuna Dance (Artistic Director Cameron McKinney), The Bang Group, and Dual Rivet. With Kizuna Dance, Lerner has contributed to the creation of Moontides, Prisoners of the Moment, E.X.P.L.O.D.E., FAMM (with Cameron McKinney), Kyosho (with LajaMartin), and Sizable (with Hannah Garner). He was also part of the creative team and cast of Sub/Script, developed and performed with Dual Rivet under the direction of Chelsea Ainsworth and Jessica Smith. Most recently, he has begun working with Greyzone Dance, continuing to expand his collaborative and interdisciplinary performance practice.
