Working Title Dance Theater Working Title Dance Theater is a dance theater collective founded by Isaac Martin Lerner in 2024. It creates work that combines theatrical elements with contemporary movement. As the name suggests, WTDT is meant to be a work in progress. Theater and dance unfold in real time in front of you, always in a state of becoming. So is the company.

What Comes Next
Third Person Scenario was a significant beginning for WTDT. We have big plans for 2027, and while we’re keeping the details to ourselves for now, there is more work ahead.

Third Person Scenario

​In September 2026, we premiered our first evening-length work, Third Person Scenario, at 3AM Theater.
The piece begins with a death and unfolds as a surreal portrait of five people coping with loss. Through contemporary floorwork, text, and interdisciplinary collaboration, it explores how identity and legacy take shape through collective memory; what remains when a life ends, and how those left behind make meaning from it.
