It is a Strange Time Too
Mr. Lerner’s first solo creation is an unflinching exploration of the layered complexities of his Jewish American identity. Blending physical rigor with emotional nuance, the 20-minute work unfolds as a visceral, unrelenting journey through memory, heritage, and personal mythology. Conceived as a foundation for future installments and interdisciplinary collaborations, this “monster” of a piece lays the groundwork for a larger body of work that will continue to interrogate questions of belonging, generational memory, and cultural duality through movement.
